Job summary

MedCare Pediatric offers home-based pediatric therapy in Texas, providing one-on-one PTA services in children’s homes and community settings. This role emphasizes flexible scheduling and collaborative teamwork to support optimal child outcomes.

The PTA will work under a licensed PT, implement treatment plans, educate families, and maintain thorough documentation while contributing to a positive, growth-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current Texas PTA license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date.
• One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care.
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
