Job summary

Manchester Rehab & Healthcare is seeking a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support Physical Therapists in implementing resident-specific treatment plans. The role includes direct patient care, accurate documentation, and active participation in care planning and program development.

The PTA will work FT and PRN shifts, with a sign-on bonus and opportunities for advancement within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified PTA (licensed where applicable).
• Experience documenting treatment progress and plan of care.
• Able to maintain productivity and accurate records.

Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA Job Description: $5,000 Sign on Bonus

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

Shift: FT and PRN

PTA Responsibilities:

• Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment. Reporting adverse responses to treatment immediately to the physical therapist.
• Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program.
• Accurately and timely document the need for the skilled service in each record entry.
• Consistently perform at the required productivity level maintaining effective time management according to daily schedule.
• Attend and contribute to patient care plan meetings for an interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicates patient’s response to treatment and progress towards established goals with supervising physical therapist.
• Active participation in program development and clinical programming. Identify best practices for Physical Therapy practice and share with Rehab Team.
• Assist patients in achieving critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner within the community.
