Job summary

Luxor Healthcare in St. Louis is seeking a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

You will provide direct treatment under supervision, document patient progress, attend care plan meetings, and assist in program development to share best practices with the Rehab Team. The role supports community engagement and flexible scheduling across PRN, FT, and PT shifts.

• Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment; reports adverse responses to the physical therapist immediately.
• Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program; document the need for the skilled service in each record entry.
• Maintain productivity and time management according to daily schedule.
• Attend and contribute to patient care plan meetings for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicate patient's response to treatment and progress towards goals with the supervising physical therapist.
• Participate in program development and clinical programming; share best practices with Rehab Team.
• Assist patients in achieving outcomes while acting as a trusted partner within the community.
