Job summary

Trilogy Health Services, LLC is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join Wellbrooke of Wabash in Indiana. The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to deliver therapeutic interventions and support an interdisciplinary care team.

The role involves implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and educating patients and families on exercises and safety. Travel is possible, with comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Indiana PTA licensure required (or current).
• CPR certification current preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Observes patient responses, documents progress, and reports findings to supervising PT.
• Provides patient and family education on exercises, safety, and home program practices.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress with observations.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).


• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.


• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.


• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.


• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.


• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.


• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree

Experience: 0-1 years

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
