Job summary

Trilogy Health Services - Gateway Springs Health Campus in Hamilton, OH is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the clinical team. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, you will implement treatment plans, support patient progress, and maintain documentation within an interdisciplinary setting.

The role requires an Associate Degree with state PTA licensure in Ohio (CPR preferred) and 0-1 years of experience. Travel may be required; healthcare benefits begin after start date.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA or related field is required or preferred.
• Current PTA licensure in Ohio is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• 0-1 years of PTA experience or related clinical exposure.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises and modalities.
• Observes patient responses, documents progress, and reports to supervising PT.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of patient responses and progress.
• Educates patients and families on exercises, safety, and home progress.
• Supports PTs in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
