Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting, adhering to professional standards and ethics.

Licenses and Certifications

• Must hold and maintain a current, valid state PTA license or certification.
• Current valid CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observe and document patient responses, progress, and report to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercises and safety precautions.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
