Rutland Center for Living and Rehabilitation seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered care at our Rutland, Vermont facility. The role includes implementing treatment plans, assisting with transfers and exercises, and helping monitor patient progress in a state-of-the-art environment.

This position emphasizes teamwork, accurate record-keeping, and commitment to quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes and the overall care

Qualifications

• Assist with implementing patient treatment plans under a Physical Therapist
• Monitor patients and adjust treatments as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care

Responsibilities

• Assist PTs in implementing treatment plans
• Conduct PT treatments and interventions under supervision
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments
• Develop relationships with patients and families
• Participate in quality improvement to improve outcomes
• Maintain complete treatment records and progress notes
• Collaborate on care plans with the team
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and exercises
• Provide assistive devices and equipment as needed
• Educate patients on body mechanics and exercise techniques
• Participate in care conferences and rounds
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by PT department

About the Role:

• Assist Physical Therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans
• Conduct physical therapy treatments and interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and clinical practices
• Maintain accurate and complete records of patient treatments and progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and exercises
• Provide assistive devices and supportive equipment to patients
• Conduct patient education and training on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques
• Participate in care conferences and patient rounds
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Physical Therapy department
