Job summary

Rutland Center For Living and Rehabilitation in Rutland, Vermont is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant PTA to join our therapy team. You will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement individualized rehabilitation plans that improve mobility and function for residents.

This on-site role requires an associate degree, Vermont PTA licensure, and strong communication. New graduates considered; you will contribute to patient care, discharge planning, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in PTA required.
• Current Vermont PTA licensure required.
• New graduates eligible.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and ambulate patients safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans, including exercise programs and modalities.
• Provide direct patient care, including exercises, stretching, and strengthening programs, as well as gait training and balance activities.
• Monitor and report patient progress, identifying areas of improvement and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatment, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education, providing patients and families with information and strategies for continued care and rehabilitation.
