Job summary

Trilogy Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in a senior care setting. The role focuses on implementing treatment plans, observing patient progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, supporting PT evaluation, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• 0–1 years experience.
• Must have and maintain a current PTA licensure or certification; CPR preferred.

• Observes patient responses and documents progress; reports findings to supervising PT.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of patient responses and progress for the supervising PT.
• Provides instructions to patients and families on exercises and safety to support progress at home.
• Supports PTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree

Experience: 0-1 years

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
