Job summary

Trilogy Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role emphasizes implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and guiding patients and families on exercises and safety at home.

Training includes a six-month onboarding period with a focus on teamwork within an interdisciplinary care setting. Travel is possible as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current PTA licensure or certification.
• 0-1 years PTA experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises, manual therapy and modalities.
• Observes patient responses to therapy, documents progress, and reports findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy and progress, reporting to the supervising PT.
• Provides instructions to patients and families on exercises, safety, and home progress.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree

Experience: 0-1 years

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
