Job summary

Trilogy Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join an interdisciplinary team in providing therapeutic interventions. You will implement treatment plans, monitor patient responses, and document progress under a Physical Therapist's supervision in a senior care setting.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree in PTA, is licensed or eligible for licensure, and is capable of collaborating with a diverse care team. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• State PTA licensure or certification required.
• CPR certification, current, preferred.
• Education: Associate Degree in PTA.
• Experience: 0–1 years.
• Travel: yes, typically less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans designed by PTs, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Observes patient responses, documents progress, and reports findings to the supervising PT.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of patient responses and progress.
• Provides patients and families with instruction on exercises, safety, and home progress.
• Supports PTs in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing observations.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
