We are hiring a Full Time PTA for Tampa!

The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) performs treatment, provides exercise instruction, and patient education aimed at improving/enhancing the patient's well-being while following the established plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, perform only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommend changes to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional activities, ADL, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising PT, nurse, and/or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members within the scope of practice of the PTA.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
