Key Responsibilities

• Education: Graduate from an accredited two-year program for physical therapist assistants recognized by the appropriate agency.
• Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a PTA in Florida.
• Experience: Prior experience as a PTA required; familiarity with skilled nursing facilities is a plus.
• Professional Membership: Membership in state and national Physical Therapy Associations preferred.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with patients and staff.
• Therapeutic Knowledge: In-depth understanding of physical therapy principles and equipment.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions during treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
• Active PTA license in Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• Outpatient/Medicare Part B experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
