Job summary

Brudnick Center for Living is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for PRN shifts in Massachusetts. You will perform hands-on PT under supervision and assist with transfers, ambulation, and therapeutic activities to improve residents’ strength, mobility and independence.

The role requires MA PTA licensure, strong communication, and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff. English fluency is essential. Benefits and flexible scheduling are offered where available.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in MA.
• Fluent English required, both spoken and written.
• Ability to collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and therapeutic activities; promote safety and dignity.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.

$30.00 - $43.00/hour, based on experience PRN

• Provide hands-on physical therapy treatments and exercises under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to improve residents' strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and therapeutic activities while promoting safety, dignity, and confidence.
• Monitor residents' progress and communicate changes in functional status, tolerance, or condition to the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
• Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and progress in accordance with care plans, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Success:

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, resident-centered approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physical therapists, nursing staff, residents, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or a similar healthcare setting preferred
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written
