Job summary

Chelsea Jewish Lifecare’s Brudnick Center for Living is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver hands-on therapy at our Peabody, MA location. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and independence.

This PRN opportunity offers competitive hourly pay based on experience, with a focus on compassionate resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on physical therapy under a licensed PT to improve residents' strength and mobility.
• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the PT and care team.
• Accurately document treatments and progress per care plans and policies.

$30.00 - $43.00/hour, based on experience PRN

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Provide hands-on physical therapy treatments and exercises under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to improve residents' strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and therapeutic activities while promoting safety, dignity, and confidence.
• Monitor residents' progress and communicate changes in functional status, tolerance, or condition to the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
• Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and progress in accordance with care plans, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Success:

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, resident-centered approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physical therapists, nursing staff, residents, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or a similar healthcare setting preferred
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written
