Job summary

mbhealthcare is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Neptune Township, New Jersey. This full-time, part-time, and PRN position offers a starting rate of $30/hr and involves supporting the Therapy Team under the guidance of a PT.

The PTA will measure and record residents’ motor function, assist with exercises, and document progress while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to applicable laws and regulations. Long-term-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA license.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record residents’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• Assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage.
• Educate residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility.
• Maintain residents’ confidentiality and comply with privacy requirements.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to the therapy team’s goals.
