Elkton Nursing & Rehab is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. PAY RATE IS DETERMINED UPON YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. We value a vibrant, compassionate work environment with opportunities for growth, PTO, and comprehensive insurance plans.

As a PTA, you will provide direct patient care, implement treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver the best patient-centered care for our residents.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required.
• Geriatric or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong patient care and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assess functional status and rehabilitation potential.
• Administer treatment plans under physician direction with measurable goals.
• Document patient progress and educate patients/families.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for patient-centered care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred
