Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. Move patients toward function with patient-centered care in a Monday–Friday schedule; new graduates welcomed and training offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program with an associate degree.
  • CPR certified per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.

  • Participates in staff meetings, development programs, and committees.
  • Supervises clinical support staff per PT Practice Act.
  • Completes charge/statistical information for services rendered.
  • Provides therapeutic interventions per PT plans for all ages.
  • Maintains comprehensive written/electronic documentation.
  • Rotates through treatment areas as needed and supports emergencies.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 7:00 PM

No weekends * No holidays * No on-call

  • Provides therapeutic interventions based on physical therapist-developed treatment programs for all age groups.
  • Assists physical therapists in patient surveys within the scope of practice.
  • Maintains comprehensive written/electronic documentation of clinical services.
  • Rotates through treatment areas/facilities as needed.
  • Provides objective feedback to supervisors on department performance and emergencies.
  • Schedules to meet or exceed facility productivity standards.
  • Implements treatment programs per physical therapist plans, adjusting as needed based on patient response and medical status.
  • Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association with an associates degree as a physical therapist assistant.
  • Must possess knowledge and skills required to provide quality customer serviceLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Physical Therapist Assistant OR Physical Therapist Assistant Indirect Supervision
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
