Job summary

Flagler Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN position in a skilled nursing facility setting. You will support residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, transfers, and home exercise programs under supervision of a licensed PT.

The role emphasizes empathetic patient care, strong communication, and collaboration with nursing and therapy teams to promote independence and safety in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA certification or license in the state of Florida
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or rehabilitating residents
• Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and other care team members
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Basic understanding of rehabilitation principles and SNF regulatory guidelines (preferred)
• Ability to lift, support, and assist residents safely during mobility and therapeutic activities

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs
• Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely
