Job summary

Capri-Health- is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Florida. The PTA delivers high-quality patient care under a licensed PT, assists with mobility training, transfers, and strengthening, and implements individualized therapy plans.

You will monitor progress, document outcomes, educate residents and families, and ensure a safe therapy environment. Collaboration with nursing and therapy teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current PTA certification or license in the state of Florida.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or rehabilitating residents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and other care team members.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Basic understanding of rehabilitation principles and SNF regulatory guidelines (preferred).
  • Ability to lift, support, and assist residents safely during mobility and therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
  • Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)!

Calling all those with a heart for care! We’re seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Whether you have previous PTA experience or are just beginning your journey, we welcome candidates who bring empathy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Experience is a plus—but not required.

In a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting, PTAs play a vital role in supporting residents through their rehabilitation journeys. You’ll be a guiding hand, a trusted support, and an essential part of our caregiving community. From assisting with therapeutic exercises to promoting mobility and independence, your daily work will have a lasting and meaningful impact.

Full Time and PRN

Key Responsibilities
