Job summary

Opis-Senior-Services-Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents in a skilled nursing facility with supervision by a licensed Physical Therapist. You’ll deliver patient care, assist with mobility training, and help implement therapy plans to promote independence and improve function.

Ideal candidates have PTA training and Florida licensure, strong communication, and a compassionate, team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA certification or license in Florida.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with elderly residents.
• Ability to lift, assist, and support residents safely during activities.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Understanding of SNF regulatory guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
• Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs.
• Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programs.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment, ensuring equipment is used appropriately.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy teams, and interdisciplinary teams to support overall care plans.
• Encourage resident participation and promote independence in daily functional activities.

In a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting, PTAs play a vital role in supporting residents through their rehabilitation journeys. You’ll be a guiding hand, a trusted support, and an essential part of our caregiving community. From assisting with therapeutic exercises to promoting mobility and independence, your daily work will have a lasting and meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Compassionate, patient‑centered approach to care

• Basic understanding of rehabilitation principles and SNF regulatory guidelines (preferred)

• Ability to lift, support, and assist residents safely during mobility and therapeutic activities
