Role Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising PT in acquiring pertinent information and implementing comprehensive treatment programs using various techniques and activities; review and modify treatments based on patient needs; identify equipment and discharge requirements.
• Be aware of patient injuries/diagnoses and observe necessary precautions regarding indications and contraindications.
• Prepare patients for treatment/modality as needed.
• Provide treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and complete documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act.
• Collaborate with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising PT.
• Apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed PT in the patient's POC. Progress patients appropriately when deemed necessary by the PT.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Previous experience in patient care preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification
