What you will do in this role:

1. Under guidance of supervising PT: Acquire pertinent information and implement comprehensive programs using varied techniques and treatment activities; review and modify treatment in response to changing patient needs; identify equipment and discharge needs.
2. Be aware of patient injury/diagnosis and take all necessary precautions for observing indications and contraindications.
3. Assist the patient in preparing for treatment/modality as necessary.
4. Provide treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and complete supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act.
5. Communicate and collaborate with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising PT.
6. Apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed PT, in the patient POC. Progress patients appropriately when deemed necessary by the PT.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Previous experience in patient care preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
