Job summary

Creekside Healthcare Center in California is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate team. The PTA will administer treatments addressing neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues and contribute to resident wellbeing.

The role requires an Associate degree in PTA and a California license, with a preferred 1 year of clinical experience. You will assess, follow a care plan, and document meticulously to support resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in PTA program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current California PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Measures muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to ensure safe discharge with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and state/federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
