Job summary

Cypress Cove Mead Therapy Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to support an experienced Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered rehab services to residents in a Florida community setting.

You will administer interventions, educate residents and families, and document progress while coordinating with the therapy team to optimize treatment plans within a 60-acre life plan community in Fort Myers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from PTA program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• A valid Florida PTA license is required.
• A genuine interest in and compassion for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Administering physical therapy interventions as planned and directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Instructing and assisting residents/clients.
• Monitoring resident/client performance and status to assess progress and modify plans with the Physical Therapist.
• Assisting in preparing clinical notes and progress reports.
• Providing education on treatments and equipment usage to residents/clients and families.

• Associate degree from a recognized Physical Therapy Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• A valid FL license.
• A genuine interest in and compassion for older adults.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork – be proactive, resourceful, and collaborative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate between residents/clients and staff.
