Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy care. You will perform procedures and document patient progress within the established plan, ensuring safety and patient comfort.

You will address age-specific needs, report safety issues, and coordinate with the Physical Therapy team, including aides, to manage workload and maintain quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the applicable state.
• Entry level applicants may apply.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy procedures and related tasks.
• Document patient progress notes as directed.
• Modify treatment procedures within the plan as patient status changes.
• Provide safety-focused PT procedures under supervision of PT.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to aides as needed.
