Job summary

Select Medical in Gastonia, NC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic team. You will provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed PT, participate in compassionate treatment plans, and help patients regain function and return to activities they love.

The role offers full-time hours, a supportive mentorship program, and access to 1900 centers nationwide.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited PTA program (PTA degree confirmed).
• Certified by CAPTE for PTAs (national exam completed).
• Valid state PTA license in good standing (or license in process).
• CPR certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services with minimal supervision to patients and caregivers, following policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.


• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures


• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program


• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE


• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)


• CPR certification
