Job summary

Select Medical’s Select Physical Therapy outpatient orthopedic center in Houston is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join a respected clinical team. The PTA will work Monday through Friday in a patient-centered setting, providing care under a licensed PT and contributing to personalized treatment plans that restore function for patients of all ages and abilities.

Located at 4000 Washington Ave Suite 306, this full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Must be CAPTE-certified as a PTA.
• Must hold a valid PTA license in the state (or license in process).
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as required by state practice act.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services for patients and caregivers in line with PT policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients and support staff relationships.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
