Job summary

Select Medical’s outpatient orthopedic center in Elizabeth City, NC, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to work full-time, Monday–Friday, delivering quality PT services under supervision to diverse patients. The role emphasizes restoring function and helping patients return to activities they love, with a supportive mentorship and growth opportunities.

The position offers a $30.00–$38.00 per hour range (depending on experience) with a $10,000 bonus and a student loan repayment program.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE.
• Valid state PTA license (or license in process).
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Education

College graduate of an accredited PTA program

Passed CAPTE national examination for PTAs

Valid state PTA license (or license in process)

CPR certification
