Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in Lafayette, IN seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under the direction of a Physical Therapist within an interdisciplinary team. You will implement treatment plans, guide therapeutic exercises, and document patient progress to support ongoing care.

You will observe patient responses, communicate findings to the supervising PT, and provide home-exercise instructions. Certification/licensure to practice as PTA is required; 0–1 years experience accepted.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Must have and maintain a current PTA licensure in the state of practice.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy and progress.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercises, safety, and home progress strategies.
