Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under a Physical Therapist across an interdisciplinary team. You will implement treatment plans, guide exercises, and monitor patient progress to support functional recovery.

Requirements include a PTA degree from an accredited program, and a valid state PTA license; CPR certification preferred. 0–1 year of experience is typical for this role; strong teamwork and communication are valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
