Job summary

Pine Ridge Care Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support a licensed physical therapist in delivering patient treatment plans within a skilled nursing setting in California.

You will document patient progress, teach exercises to residents and caregivers, and complete required forms in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations; a CA license and active PTA credential are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an APTA accredited PTA program.
• Licensed as Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Covid-19 vaccine required; must comply with CA mandates.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct treatment to residents as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Documents resident progress towards meeting established goals.
• Teaches exercises to residents, family members, and caregivers; may instruct in use of orthotic/prosthetic devices.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and state/federal regulations.

SUMMARY

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist with a patient’s treatment program in accordance with federal guidelines and state practice acts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provides direct treatment to residents as directed by and according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Documents resident progress towards meeting established goals.
• Teaches exercises to residents, family members, and caregivers and may provide instruction in the use and care for orthotic, prosthetic devices, and other assisting apparatus.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate Degree from an APTA accredited program
• Licensed as Physical Therapist Assistant
• Covid 19 vaccine required
• Must be in compliance with the state of California covid mandates
