Job summary

Watertown Health Care Center in Watertown, WI is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The PTA will treat and document care for residents under the supervision of a physical therapist.

Responsibilities include following orders, providing treatments to maintain or improve function, keeping accurate resident reports, and collaborating with residents, families, staff and consultants. An associate degree and active PTA license are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical information.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians’ orders and directions of the supervising PT.
• Provide treatment to maintain or improve function.
• Maintain timely and accurate resident reports per regulatory requirements.
• Observe infection control procedures and resident safety.
• Collaborate with residents, families, staff, physicians and consultants.
• Adhere to facility policies and Residents' Rights.
