Job summary

• Provide patient care under supervision of a licensed physical therapist as required by State Practice Act.
• Deliver high-quality PT services with minimal supervision.
• Maintain positive relationships with centers, patients, and staff.

Physical Therapist Assistant - Inpatient Acute Care PRN

Location: MonHealth in Morgantown, WV

Schedule: PRN, Sun- Sat (Holidays & Weekends)

Mon Health (MHMC) and HealthWorks Morgantown, WV. Our inpatient hospital and multidisciplinary team of clinicians is seeking per diem (PRN) licensed physical therapist assistants (LPTA) for as‑needed coverage. This is a licensed clinical position requiring a WV state PTA license.

Position Summary

Our 188-bed acute care hospital is open year-round, with additional hours available based on needs, including census influx, vacation, sick, and personal leave of current clinicians. With our PRN/per diem, there are no set hours or time commitments on either end. Previous experience is HIGHLY preferred, but we are OK considering new graduate physical therapist assistants.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
