Job summary

The Grove at Carvalho in Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic Rehab department. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time positions, with responsibilities including assisting the licensed PT, documenting treatments, and ensuring patient progress is tracked in CCP.

We require graduation from an accredited PTA program or MA certification and MA licensure to practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program or Certification by the University of the State of MA
• MA Licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs Physical Therapy treatments as designated by the licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assists the Physical Therapist in determining treatment priorities, identifying goals and selecting appropriate treatment techniques.
• Establishes rapport and maintains professionalism in administering treatment to patients.
• Records patient’s modality treatments daily.
• Documents on CCP, as indicated.
• Assist with chart audits as directed.
• Writes progress notes as appropriate and reviews notes and goals with the Physical Therapist.
