Job summary

Banner Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Sports Medicine program at our Gilbert outpatient orthopedic center. You will provide focused patient care to active individuals of all ages, helping them return to athletics, work and daily life under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

The role offers a full-time Mon-Fri schedule with a competitive hourly compensation range of $27.00–$35.00, depending on experience, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus

Qualifications

• Licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) required.
• Mentorship and orientation programs provided for new hires.
• CPR certification required.
• Prefer experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine settings.
• CAPTE national exam passed for PTAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and safety.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers, staff, and patients.

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.


• Implement, with minimal supervision, high‑quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures


• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.


• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program


• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE


• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
