On-Call Requirement: None. Assignment Length: 13-week contract. Assignment Dates: Start Date TBD – End Date TBD. Assignment Type: Temp to perm (opportunity to extend or convert to permanent). Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour.

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic care to patients in a long-term care setting. This role focuses on improving patient mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability through prescribed therapeutic interventions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Treat patients through therapeutic exercises, massage, gait training, and balance training
• Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapy
• Report treatment outcomes and patient status to the Physical Therapist
• Support patient safety and adherence to care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) experience
• Active Texas PTA license or compact license (required)
• Ability to work full-time day shifts in a long-term care environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills
