Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' mobility, strength, and overall functional abilities.
  • Work with residents to address challenges with mobility, balance, and daily activities.
  • Support residents in regaining independence and improving their quality of life.
  • Track residents’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate residents and their families on therapeutic techniques for improving mobility and safety.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, including PTs, OTs, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Participate in care planning meetings to discuss progress and treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments and progress to meet healthcare regulations.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for residents receiving therapy.
