The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Winter Park

• Winter Park Memorial Hospital has continuously served the residents of Winter Park and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years.
• Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of Winter Park residents and community leaders to a 307-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness.
• The hospital has expanded over the years to meet community needs, adding facilities like the upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute.

The role you’ll contribute:

Conducts physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Implements an established treatment plan of care created by a Physical Therapist, utilizing Practice Standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs. Monitors patient response and progress, and, with consultation, modifies the treatment plan as appropriate.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and departmental/hospital policies.
• Educates patients, family members, and caregivers about identified needs, including discharge recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a related field, if applicable to the facility.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification must be obtained before starting patient care.
• PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant certification.
• Temporary State permit as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
