Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities

The PTA performs duties consistent with a New Graduate PTA, demonstrating competence in skills and professionalism across a variety of age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The PTA actively participates in the growth and development of their Department/Clinic, including quality management.

1. Meets the qualifications of a New Graduate PTA.
2. Must be licensed in their state of hire and eligible for licensure in an alternate state (licensure to be obtained within 3 months of hire).
3. Trained and certified biennially in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR.
4. If working in the Outpatient Department, the assistant is required to work a minimum of two evenings per week unless approved by the regional outpatient director.
