Job summary

Cayuga Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New York is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant with an active New York State PTA license to join our team of experienced Physical Therapists. The PTA is responsible for treating referred patients requiring rehabilitation services and developing individualized plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The role requires strong patient communication, documentation, and collaboration with the IDT and families to optimize recovery

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current NY PTA license or license-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to assess condition after reviewing medical history.
• Develop an individualized treatment plan under the Physical Therapist.
• Instruct and counsel patients using manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, gait training.
• Maintain records of goals and progress; adapt treatment plans.
• Explain recovery expectations to patients and families.
• Coordinate with IDT to maximize patient outcomes.

**$2000 Sign on Bonus Available** We are seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant with an active New York State PTA License. We are looking for an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of experienced Physical Therapists. The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for the treatment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services. Requires strong skills in:

• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms after reviewing their medical history
• Develop an individualized treatment plan, tailored to the specific goals of the resident made by the Physical Therapist
• Instructing and counseling patients using a variety of treatment techniques including: Manual therapy, Therapeutic exercises, Modalities, Gait training, ect.
• Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress; adapting treatment plans accordingly
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families on what to expect from the recovery process
• Communicating with IDT on patient’s needs, to maximize outcomes.

PTA Requirements:

• A minimum of an Associates degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Has current PTA license (or is license-eligible) in New York State
