Job summary

Best Home Health Providers, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing team delivering in-home physical therapy across the Bay Area and beyond.

You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover, regain mobility, and return to the activities they love, all from the comfort of their homes. This per diem role offers $95 per visit and has the potential to convert to full-time based on performance.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree from an APTA-accredited PTA program.
• Active PTA license from the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willing to travel to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
• Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services
