Job summary

Brookings Health System is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The PTA provides skilled support under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help individuals improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

This is a full-time position with benefits; home health will be the primary area, with occasional work at our long-term care facility. The role includes implementing plans, guiding exercises, monitoring progress, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure – new graduates will be considered.
• CPR required or obtained within 60 days of employment.
• Possess a valid driving license and able to be covered by insurance.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising PT.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and functional mobility activities.
• Monitor the individual’s progress and report outcomes to the supervising PT.
• Educate individuals, families, and caregivers on exercise and safety.
• Assist in maintaining therapy equipment and supplies.

Position Highlights

Brookings Health System is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team!

Compensation range for this benefit eligible position is $23.39 to $34.62, depending on experience.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides skilled support under the direction of a Physical Therapist (PT) to help individuals improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

JOB TYPE: Full time, benefit eligible 40 hours per week Home Health will be the primary area but will also see residents at our long term care facility on occasion.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
