Brookings Health System is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The PTA will provide skilled support under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help individuals improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

Home Health will be the primary setting, with occasional care at the long-term care facility. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a non-profit, community-focused health

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure – new graduates will be considered.
• CPR required or obtained within 60 days of employment.
• Possess a valid driving license and capable of being covered by insurance.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising PT.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and functional mobility activities.
• Monitor the individual’s progress and report outcomes to the supervising PT.
• Educate individuals, families, and caregivers on exercise and safety.
• Assist in maintaining therapy equipment and supplies.
