Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic care team. The role emphasizes evaluating patients, following established treatment plans, and applying exercises and manual techniques to improve movement and recovery.

You will document services thoroughly, collaborate with physicians and staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while mentoring new colleagues.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Licensed as a physical therapist assistant in WI, IL or both.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Integrates subjective and objective data to follow an established treatment plan.
• Utilizes exercise, physical agents, and manual techniques to address deficits.
• Maintains a thorough record of services provided with appropriate coding and billing.
• Communicates with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
• Performs thorough and timely electronic documentation.
• Participates in the PI and CQI process.

OVERVIEWThis role provides physical therapy by evaluating patients, following treatment plans, and using exercises, hands-on techniques, and other therapies to improve movement and recovery.
