Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Oklahoma City is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support day shifts. The PTA will administer physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and as ordered by a physician, contributing to individualized patient care plans.

The role requires Bachelors in Physical Therapy, Oklahoma PTA licensure, current BLS, and strong observational safety skills to maintain logs and communicate changes to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical therapy school.
• Maintains a current Oklahoma Physical Therapist Assistant License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledgeable in Observation Levels as indicated by patient behavior and risk of injury to patient and/or others.
• Competent in maintaining Observation Logs/Records.
• Conducts environmental safety checks for patients requiring 1:1 Observation.
• Communicates changes in patient behavior or safety to charge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions under plan of care by a Physical Therapist and orders of a Physician.
• Collaborate with a Physical Therapist to develop treatment programs for therapy patients.
• Provide PRN PTA services for variable Day Shifts.
• Ensure patient safety and accurate documentation of progress.
