Xcelerate Physical Therapy, a patient-focused outpatient clinic in Newtown Square, seeks a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. You will perform interventions under supervision, document progress, and support patient education and home exercise programs to drive positive outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold PA PTA licensure, graduate from a CAPTE-accredited program, and maintain CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapist Assistant in PA.
• CPR certification and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic interventions under supervision, including modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and manual therapy.
• Record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts.
• Report patient status to physicians; measure ROM, strength, and vital signs as needed.
• Instruct patients and families on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
• Provide guidance to PTA students and technicians.
• Assist in quality assurance programs as directed by the PT.
• Maintain technical proficiency in PT principles and techniques.

Job Description

Xcelerate Physical Therapy is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

• Perform therapeutic interventions for patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, including modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, ADL training, and wound dressing.


• Record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts.


• Report patient status to physicians and healthcare personnel; measure range of motion, strength, and vital signs as needed.


• Instruct patients and families on assistive devices and home exercise techniques.


• Provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistant students and technicians.


• Assist in quality assurance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.


• Ensure technical proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniques.


• Must have certification and licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Pennsylvania

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program


• New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply


• Current state of PA licensure as Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)


• CPR certification


• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment


• Basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS Office
