Job summary

Metropolitan Jewish Health System in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support residents under the supervision of the Physical Therapist and the Director of Rehabilitation.

You will monitor the rehabilitation program, document progress, and assist with plan implementation for short- and long-term care. An A.A.S. in PTA and NYS registration are required; geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• NYS Education Department registration required.
• Geriatric experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the physical therapy treatment program for each resident based on a PT evaluation and physician's request.
• Collaborates with the rehabilitation team to implement care plans and document progress.
• Assists with patient mobility, exercises, and therapeutic activities as directed by the PT.
