Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. You will assist in developing rehabilitative plans, evaluate functional needs, and participate in patient education across the age continuum.

Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to patients across the age continuum. Assists the physical therapist within established guidelines to develop a rehabilitative plan of care with realistic goals, based on a functional evaluation or reassessment. Provides education to patients, family members, students, staff and to the community at large. Coordinates services with other medical disciplines, making recommendations as appropriate to facilitate a complete rehabilitative process. Participates in Performance Improvement and Risk Management.
Graduate of Physical Therapy Assistant Program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Currently certified or eligible for certification by the State of New York. Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Demonstrates age specific competency annually on age populations served as identified in scope of care and services.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong time management skills. BLS for Health Care Providers preferred.
Clinical setting. Exposure Class I – routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions. Risk of communicable diseases and risk of physical injury.
Heavy work: continual and repetitive motions, including but not limited to heavy lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing and prolonged walking and standing.

Pay Rate: $24.60-36.90 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
