Job summary

The Physical Therapy Institute (PTI) is actively seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team in Monroeville, PA. This full-time day-shift role in a growing orthopedic private practice offers mentoring, AI-assisted documentation, and comprehensive continuing education benefits.

You’ll assist with modalities, therapeutic exercise, balance training, and manual therapy, while coordinating with supervising PTs to deliver patient-centered care and rigorous treatment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensed as a PTA in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Indirect supervision license preferred, not required.
• Physical and mental capability to meet the job’s physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, including modalities, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy
• Support daily documentation in a team setting
• Help patients stretch and exercise targeted muscle groups
• Read and apply Physical Therapist instructions for personalized care
• Guide patients through balance training and other therapeutic techniques
• Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling and paperwork
• Work closely with supervising Physical Therapists (indirect supervision preferred but not required)

• Sustained gripping (1-2 minutes of 40-50 lbs)
• Ability to guard a lift load of 120-140 lbs
